  • Say hello to versatility- Land Rover Discovery Sport Dynamic
  • Date: 2015-10-07

  • Want a Land Rover but want yours to look more, say, noticeable? The Discovery Sport Dynamic is your jam.

New Discovery Sport’s sleek, aerodynamic silhouette, with legendary Land Rover capability and a flexible interior, add up to a great looking vehicle that does so much more. Technologies have been tested on all-terrain for more than 18 months in the most gruelling conditions and in over 20 countries. Tata Motors-owned British luxury brand Land Rover launched the Discovery Sport in India at Rs. 46.1 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai). While other luxury car manufacturers like Audi, Mercedes and BMW launch models in Indian within six months of launching them globally it has taken more than a year for Land Rover to bring the Discovery Sport to India. With sliding second row that can offer similar legroom to a Range Rover, and an optional third row, you can adapt the space to meet loading or seating needs. Cutting edge controls distinguish an uncluttered dashboard that features an eight-inch touch-screen and the latest technology for intuitive interaction. The new model variant with the lengthy name is designed to appeal to owners who want something more unique than the standard Discovery Sport crossover, and accomplishes that mission with body-coloured trim, black accents, 19- or 20-inch alloy wheels in dark grey or black finish, and body-colour-matching interior accents. The same deep red exterior colour from the Range Rover Sport HSE Dynamic appears on the Discovery Sport version. In addition to the Dynamic variant, buyers can now option the Discovery Sport with All Terrain Progress Control that lets drivers ‘set and maintain a steady speed in off-road conditions’. It basically sounds like a higher-speed crawl control, but adds a Launch mode that uses diagnostics to pull away smoothly on slick surfaces like ice or snow. The four cylinder engine can push the vehicle to clock its top speed of 180kmph for the base variant and 188 kmph for the top-end version. The base variant will give mileage of 12.83kmpl while the top-end promises to deliver a mileage of 12.97kmpl. Apart from a ground clearance of 212mm the Discover Sport was a water wading depth of 600mm.

    All-terrain expertise
With Land Rover at its heart, New Discovery Sport is adept in challenging conditions. On tarmac, gravel, sand or snow, Terrain Response makes sure your drive is responsive, steady and controlled. A host of stability systems enhance traction, reducing engine torque by optimising throttle and braking.

    Parking made simple
Perfect for the city, Park Assist is a suite of features including Parallel Park, Perpendicular Park and Parking Exit to help you both enter and leave your chosen space safely. Using ultrasonic sensors to detect obstacles close by, you just control the accelerator, gears and brake while the vehicle does the steering for you.
